Here’s how:

Register to GCash using your Globe/TM Sim

1. Dial *143# (no charge) and press CALL
2. Select “GCash”, and “REGISTER”. Enter details as required.
3. Enter “Registration Code” and you will be asked to confirm the details entered and agree on the “Terms and Conditions”.
4. Once transaction is successfully completed, you will received an acknowledgement reflecting the Reference Number and an instruction to change the MPIN for security purposes

GCash Registration Steps via the GCash App

1. Download the GCash mobile app
2. Enter your mobile number and tap “Next.”
3. You will receive a six-digit authentication code on the number you provided. Input the code then tap “Submit Code.”
4. Provide your information in the next pages such as name, birthdate, address, and email address and tap “Submit.”
5. Create a four-digit mobile PIN (MPIN). You will use this MPIN in all GCash transactions.
6. Read through the Terms and Conditions and tap “Submit.”
7. Tap “Proceed to Login” to explore your new GCash account. Log in using your four-digit MPIN.

GCash Registration Steps via the GCash website

1. If you need to register through a desktop for some reason, head down to the the GCash registration page.
2. Enter your mobile number and click “Next.” You’ll receive a six-digit authentication code on your phone. Input the code then click “Submit Code.”
3. Scroll through the Terms and Conditions and click “Accept.”
4. Provide your personal information on the next page and click “Submit.”
5. Create a four-digit MPIN.
6. Once complete, you’ll be directed to a QR code. Scan it to download the GCash app.

GCash Registration Steps via Messenger

1. Search for @gcashofficial on the Messenger app.
2. Tap “Get Started.”
3. Enter your mobile number and tap “Continue.”
4. You will receive a six-digit authentication code on the number you provided. Input the code then tap “Submit Code.”
5. Provide your personal information on the next page and click “Submit.”
6. Create a four-digit MPIN. Read through the Terms and Conditions and tap “Submit.”

Steps to GCash Account Verification

1. Login to your GCash account on your app.
2. Tap the menu bar on the upper left corner and tap “Verify Now.”
3. Choose “Get Fully Verified” and tap “Next.”
4. Choose a valid ID, tap “Next,” and take a picture of the ID.
5. Tap “Next” and take a selfie. Make sure you’re in a well-lit room.
6. Fill in the required information and make sure everything is accurate.
7. Tick the box to accept the Terms and Conditions and tap “Confirm.”
8. Wait for 30 minutes for GCash to review your application.

Account verification, also known as Know Your Customer (KYC), is required by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas to validate the identity of customers for money services like GCash. You need to undergo the GCash verification process to unlock all its useful features and services.

How to Link Your Bank Account to GCash

Before you can transfer money from your bank account to your GCash wallet, you need to link your bank account to GCash. Here’s how you do it.

1. Tap the menu bar on the upper left corner. From there, tap “My Linked Accounts” and then tap “My Bank Cards.”
2. Tap “Add Card” and input the card details of your bank’s debit card.
3. Once you submit your details, you will be redirected to your bank’s verification page. Your bank will send you a one-time password (OTP) code via SMS. Input the OTP to proceed.
4. Once verified, you will receive a text saying that your bank is now linked to GCash.

GCash Cash-In via Mastercard/Visa

1. Tap “Cash-In” on the GCash app dashboard and tap the “Online Banking” tab.
2. Tap “Mastercard/Visa,” enter the amount you want to cash in, and tap “Confirm.”
3. You will then be redirected to your bank’s verification page.
4. Your bank will send you a one-time password (OTP) code via SMS. Input the OTP to proceed.
5. Wait for the confirmation text before checking your new GCash balance.

GCash Cash-In via Partner Banks
You can also connect your banking apps to GCash for easier cash-ins. GCash is compatible with most banking apps, but they only offer zero transaction fees to BPI, RCBC, and Unionbank apps. Others charge PHP 10 – PHP 25 per transaction.

1. To link your banking app, tap the menu bar and tap “My Linked Accounts.”
2. Tap your preferred bank and follow the next instructions.
3. Once you’ve linked your banking app, you can now head to the dashboard and tap “Cash-In.”
4. Tap the “Online Banking” tab and select your linked bank.
5. Enter the desired amount and tap “Confirm.”
6. Your bank will send you an OTP via SMS. Input the code and tap “Submit.”
7. Wait for the confirmation text before checking your new GCash balance.

GCash Cash-In via Remittance
You can also claim your remittance and have it sent straight to your GCash wallet. Currently, GCash has partnered with MoneyGram and Western Union.

1. Tap “Cash-In” on the GCash app dashboard and tap the “Remittance” tab.
2. Choose between MoneyGram and Western Union.
3. Enter the expected amount and the reference number. Moneygram requires an 8-digit number while Western Union requires 10 digits.
4. Tap “Next” and wait for the confirmation text before checking your new GCash balance.

GCash Cash-In via PayPal

You can also connect your PayPal account to your GCash. This is for freelancers who want to spend their PayPal balance and expats looking to convert their money to Philippine Peso easily.

1. To link GCash to PayPal, tap the menu bar and tap “My Linked Accounts.”
2. Tap PayPal and enter your account’s email address.
3. You will then be directed to the PayPal login page. Enter your email and password, tick the two boxes, and tap “Authorize.”
4. Once you’ve linked your GCash to PayPal, you can now head to the dashboard and tap “Cash-In.”
5. Tap the “Remittance” tab and tap “PayPal.”
6. Enter the desired amount, tap “Next,” and tap “Confirm.”
7. Once confirmed, expect your money within 24 hours. Wait for the confirmation text before checking your new GCash balance.

GCash Cash-In via 7-Eleven and other Authorized Outlets

To load your GCash through 7-Eleven, just visit any branch near you. Go to the CliQQ kiosk and select GCash under e-money. Get the barcode then pay at the cashier.

1. From the GCash dashboard, tap “Show More.”
2. Under the “Fund Management” tab, tap “Cash Out.”
3. Tap “Deliver” then fill out the GCash Mastercard order form.
4. Fill in the required details, tick the box, then submit the form.
5. Head back to the dashboard and tap “Pay Bills.”
6. Tap “Payment Solutions” and tap “GCash Mastercard.”
7. Enter your GCash mobile number and your PHP 150 payment before tapping “Next.”
8. Your GCash Mastercard will be delivered to you within 10 days.
9. Or you may click to sign up their form.

GCash Mastercard Application via Online

1. Visit the GCash Mastercard order form.[3]

How to Send Money Using GCash on Messenger

GCash made it easier to transfer money from anywhere in the Philippines. The process involves no paperwork, no lines, and it doesn’t come with a service fee. Here’s how you can start sending money to your loved ones.

1. From the GCash dashboard, tap “Send Money.”
2. There are three ways to send money via GCash. For now, tap “Express Send.”
3. Enter the recipient’s GCash mobile number. If you have the person’s number saved in your phone, simply choose it from your contact list.
4. Enter the amount to send. You can type a message for the recipient if you want.
5. Wait for the text confirmation of your transaction.

If you want to send a message to your recipient, tap the “Send with a Clip” feature. You can send greeting templates or you can attach an audio or video file from your phone. For the Chinese New Year, you can tap the “Send Ang Pao” feature to send customized ang paos to your relatives.

How to Pay Bills with GCash

With the GCash app, you can pay your credit card bills and utilities in a snap. Freelancers can easily pay Pag-IBIG and SSS contributions and taxes using GCash.

A bills payment made via Gcash is posted within two to three banking days. The GCash Bill Pay service, however, doesn’t accept payments for overdue bills.

1. From the GCash dashboard, tap “Pay Bills.”
2. Choose the biller category of your bill payment.
3. Choose the biller and fill out the amount to pay and the account details.
4. Review your bills payment details before tapping “Confirm.”
5. Wait for the text confirmation of your transaction.

How to Use GCash QR for Shopping

Did you know that you can also pay for your purchases using your phone? You can use the GCash QR service at partner stores like the SM Store, Ayala Malls, Robinsons Malls, Jollibee, Ministop, and more.

How to Shop via GCash QR

1. From the GCash dashboard, tap “Pay QR.”
2. Tap “Scan QR Code” or “Generate Code.”
3. For Scan QR Code: Point your smartphone at the merchant’s QR code to start scanning.
4. For Generate Code: Show to the cashier the barcode and QR code on your screen.
5. Enter the amount to pay and confirm your payment.
6. Wait for the text confirmation of your transaction.
